Butterfly Pea

My sweetie gifted me with butterfly pea flower tea and it was love at first sight/taste! Butterfly pea (clitoria ternatea) flowers release their deep blue pigment in water. Their color is pH-reactive, turning magenta when mixed with an acid, green when mixed with a base, and a lovely spectrum of hues in between. This amazing plant inspired a ritual art object for Letting Go and my first color kit offering: Ecoblue.
